My partner is a chef, and loves cooking. I am useless at cooking, so together we make quite a good pair! Our kitchen seems to be full of jars of this and that, strange seasonings and marinades sitting around and the cupboards full of things that haven't been touched for months. I have battled for a while with one area of the kitchen. Our sister in law bought us a nice hamper for Christmas with some vinegar oils and chutneys in it all in lovely bottles, but these are all in the corner getting sticky and dusty and I forget they are even there.

I keep nagging him to do something about the clutter, but I have now realised that actually these sorts of gift food items are really nice and don't need to be tidied away in the cupboard, they would probably look really nice out on display. So I have sent him off to B & Q to get some glass shelves this week so that we can pretend we are posh with all of our fine ingredients in the kitchen!

If anyone wants to know where they are from - it's a new foodie site called Vanilla Chef

My favourite product is this cute little set of oils that look really nice on display!

Having started my blog and really enjoyed writing for it so far, I've been thinking about the next steps with the blog design wise and maybe setting it up with a proper web address and everything - making it a bit more jazzy.

I do find the Weebly blog platform really easy to use - but I just use it for writing only and babbling on about my Life Without Socks! I'm really not a technical sort of person so hadn't really looked in to anything other than the writing side of things until now.

I had a little word with my friend who has a Devon Web Design company to see if he could give me any help. Anyway - I told him all of my fancy ideas about having a cool picture in the banner that flashes and a little "wheel of fortune" type menu thingy and he told me that it would probably take a long time for me to work out how to do this on my own because it would need custom "coding". I didn't even know what coding was until he said that, but basically it's a whole new language of goobledygook! I always thought web designers just drew pictures on a graphics tablet or something! Apparently there are also all different types of coding so what works on one website like Weebly might not work if I copied it in another blogging website like Blogger.

I give up on the idea of a flashy blog for now, however I did say I'd give my friend a plug so if you are looking for some help with web design look up Web Design Devon.

_During these tough financial times banks are even more reluctant to offer loans than ever before. Irresponsible lending by banks helped to fuel the “credit crunch” in the first place, but now, in “post-credit crunch” Britain, when help is needed the most it is even harder to receive it. If your credit rating is not excellent then the likelihood of banks helping you is very slim. This can leave many Britons in dire financial straits, but there is an alternative...

More and more people are turning to quick cash loan companies such as Wonga.com to help them through these tough financial times. Instead of pulling your hair out in frustration at the banks, Wonga.com can offer quick cash loans at a much cheaper rate than many “pay day loan” companies. You can also vary the period over which you repay the money. With no fixed repayment period you get an opportunity to manage repayments in a more affordable way. With a Wonga promo code you can even receive a discount on your loan. With Wonga promo code January 2012, If you spend £50 or more on a short-term loan then you can receive a discount of £5.50. Wonga can approve and transfer their quick cash loans within just 15 minutes, so don't wait for the banks to turn you down again and again, just use a Wonga promo 2012 code to get a quick cash loan today.

I had to laugh last night when I saw the advert for the new range of Renault electric cars. I've always thought that the Mercedes Smart Cars were quite ridiculous. My friend has one, and having been in the car I certainly wasn't impressed by it's sturdiness! I've always thought owning a Smart Car should be a driving offence in itself! Especially ones in silly colours and patterns!

So I was shocked to learn that there is going to be an electric car to buy that is even smaller than a Smart car, and what's more it doesn't even have proper doors and windows so there's no way you could drive this thing in wet and windy Brighton.
The Twizy has a top speed of 50mph so I won't be going around committing any speeding offence in this that's for sure.

Any way, here's a video, it reminds me of a mobility scooter I spotted wizzy down the coast in Eastbourne last week....
